چکیده

Recently a number of diatomic and polyatomics molecules has been identified as a prospective systems for Doppler cooling. Polyatomic molecules with heavy nuclei present great interest for search for new physics outside of Standard Model and a large variety of other applications including cold chemistry, quantum informatics etc. Herein we propose radium monohydroxide molecule (RaOH) which is on the one hand amenable for Doppler cooling and on the other hand has considerable potential for searching for P-odd and P, T -odd effects.

Reconstruction of two-dimensional molecular structure with laser-induced electron diffraction from laser-aligned polyatomic molecules

Imaging the transient process of molecules has been a basic way to investigate photochemical reactions and dynamics. Based on laser-induced electron diffraction and partial one-dimensional molecular alignment, here we provide two effective methods for reconstructing two-dimensional structure of polyatomic molecules. We demonstrate that electron diffraction images in both scattering angles and b...

Imaging an aligned polyatomic molecule with laser-induced electron diffraction

Laser-induced electron diffraction is an evolving tabletop method that aims to image ultrafast structural changes in gas-phase polyatomic molecules with sub-Ångström spatial and femtosecond temporal resolutions. Here we demonstrate the retrieval of multiple bond lengths from a polyatomic molecule by simultaneously measuring the C-C and C-H bond lengths in aligned acetylene. Our approach takes t...

Quantitative rescattering theory of high-order harmonic generation for polyatomic molecules

We report applications of the quantitative rescattering theory (QRS) for calculation of high-order-harmonic generation (HHG) from polyatomic molecules in ultrashort linearly polarized intense laser pulses, using the example of the CCl4 molecule. In particular, we present a detailed analysis and a treatment for the phase of the electron returning wave packet, which recollides with the parent mol...

Laser-pulse requirements for coherent and mode-selective excitation in the quasicontinuum of polyatomic molecules.

We show that the theory of nuclear magnetic relaxation applies with equal validity to intramolecular relaxation in the quasicontinuum of polyatomic molecules. This theory permits an analysis of the laser-pulse requirements for vibrational-mode selectivity and coherent multiphoton excitation. The laser Rabi precession frequency, microepsilon/h, should exceed 1/T(1) or 1/T(2), the intramolecular ...

Observation of laser-induced electronic structure in oriented polyatomic molecules

All attosecond time-resolved measurements have so far relied on the use of intense near-infrared laser pulses. In particular, attosecond streaking, laser-induced electron diffraction and high-harmonic generation all make use of non-perturbative light-matter interactions. Remarkably, the effect of the strong laser field on the studied sample has often been neglected in previous studies. Here we ...
